MEET the DIEF: A Journey Through History and Innovation to Celebrate 850 Years of Academic Excellence
On the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the founding of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” (DIEF) is opening its doors to the public with a special event: MEET the DIEF, scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025.
The Open Day will be a unique opportunity to explore the beating heart of engineering in Modena, where tradition meets the future. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the history of the Department, discover its cutting-edge laboratories, and learn about projects that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and social awareness.
Experiences during the event include:
- Guided tours led by student ambassadors and professors, enriched with stories, insights, and anecdotes
- Self-guided routes with maps and interactive totems to freely explore the campus
Who the initiative is for:
- Families of students enrolled in DIEF programs
- High school students and their parents
- All members of the public interested in discovering the world of engineering up close
